GCAS Volunteer Program

Guilford County Animal Services' Organizational Culture Mission is to passionately care for animals and compassionately serve the community. Our vision is to be a county that reduces animal overpopulation, a department that increases positive animal outcomes, and a team that strives to positively impact each other every day.

We are in need of citizens to join our volunteer team! Volunteers are a vital part of Guilford County Animal Services and assist the shelter in many different ways. Our opportunities to volunteer are as varied as our volunteers themselves! You must be 18 years or older to serve. Exceptions can be made but you must receive prior approval from the Volunteer Coordinator. Please see the list below for some ways you can help the animals of Guilford County!
